This hike offers views similar to the traditional Inca Trail, along with little-known ruins and a spectacular landscape made up of crystal-clear lakes and snow-capped peaks. Due to the higher elevation, the 19-mile route takes approximately 5 days and 4 nights, before reaching Machu Picchu. Hike length: 56 km / 34.8 miles and climbs to 4,959 m / 16,270 ft.
National Geographic recently named Ancascocha Trek one of the 20 best treks in the world!
