This ancient fortress located on one of the access roads to Cusco and dominating the Apurimac River canyon. its location is next to two huge boulders located more than 4,000 meters above sea level that resemble the horns of a gigantic animal. And hence its name: the fortress of the horns.

We will take a well-deserved break to take the first photos of the Waqrapukara fortress and then descend for an hour along a steep path that skirts the cliff towards the site, while the Apurimac River runs rapidly through the bottom of the canyon. Upon reaching the ruins we will explore for 1:30 minutes and your guide will provide you with information about this wonderful place and with a lunch in the open air and with the incredible landscape as a background.
Then the walk will begin to return to the place of the vehicle. After approximately three hours you arrive at that place and return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.
