Your unforgettable journey begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in the heart of Cusco. From there, we’ll embark on a scenic drive south of the city, making our way to the charming district of Cusipata, about an hour and a half away. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the stunning views of the Andean mountains and the bustling local life of Cusco.

A Delicious Breakfast in Cusipata
Upon arrival in Cusipata, we’ll stop for a delicious, hearty breakfast to fuel up for the exciting day ahead. Enjoy traditional Andean foods before we continue on our journey.

Journey to the ATV Launch Point – Kayrahuire Alto
Next, we’ll continue on a well-maintained dirt road to Kayrahuire Alto (4,450 meters above sea level). This private property is our base camp where the real adventure begins. Here, our expert guides will provide a comprehensive briefing on how to safely operate your ATV. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice driving within the safe confines of the bus station area, ensuring you feel comfortable before we set off.

ATV Ride Through Majestic Andean Landscapes
After your practice session, we’ll embark on an exhilarating ATV ride for about 50 minutes to an hour. As we make our way through the rugged Andean terrain, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, the majestic Apu Ausangate, and traditional Andean villagers in their vibrant clothing. You’ll also pass by local herders tending to their llamas and alpacas, all while immersing yourself in the stunning high-altitude scenery of the Vilcanota mountain range. This journey promises to be an exciting and unforgettable adventure.

Arrival at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
We’ll reach the foot of Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or the Rainbow Mountain, one of the most stunning natural wonders of Peru. From here, you’ll dismount your ATV and enjoy a short 3-5 minute walk to the main attraction, where you’ll be awe-struck by the multi-colored mountain that stretches across the horizon. At an elevation of 5,036 meters above sea level, this vibrant and unique landscape is a must-see, offering unforgettable views and incredible photo opportunities.

Time for Photos and Local Snacks
Once at the top, you’ll have free time to capture stunning photos, take videos, and simply enjoy the incredible panoramic views. Local vendors offer hot drinks like coca tea, coffee, and even delicious traditional snacks like alpaca chicharrón to enjoy while you take in the scenery.

A Memorable Descent and Lunch in Cusipata
After soaking in the breathtaking sights of Rainbow Mountain, we’ll return to our ATVs for a thrilling descent down the same path, where our transport will be waiting to take us to a local restaurant in Cusipata for a well-deserved and delicious lunch.

Return to Cusco
After lunch, we’ll begin our journey back to Cusco. Depending on your tour time, we will arrive back between:

• 3:00 PM (from the 3:00 AM group)
• 5:00 PM (from the 4:00 AM group)
• 6:30 PM (from the 6:00 AM group)
• 8:30 PM (from the 8:30 AM group)

The tour concludes near Plaza de Armas for your convenience, close to your hotel and away from the traffic congestion.
